Indian Street Food Festival at 24/7 Restaurant at The Lalit Mumbai : Delicious Diaries

Thanks to FBAI for inviting to the superb Street Food Festival at 24/7 Restaurant at The Lalit, Mumbai, an experience to savor. Earthy ambiance with real Indian street-side stalls set up, from Delhi Chaats to Kolkata Chinese, from Rajasthan Pakode to Mumbai Pav Bhaji and Kheema and UP Mithais to end a spectacular meal. Everything from Chaats (splendid Dahi Puri) to Chowmein (greasy but not overly so), from Pakode (best for the rainy season) to Pav Bhaji (couldn't stop at 1 plate!) made authentic with real Indian flavors, bringing the best of India to our plates. The desserts especially, be it the piping hot Jalebis or Mathura ke Pede, Masala Milk choc a bloc with nuts and Kesar or spongy soft Rasgullas, are the crown jewel here and I recommend everyone fast for a day before coming here just for feasting on these!

Chef Aungshuman Chakraborty and his team have left no stone un-turned whether it be related to quality or quantity when it comes to promoting Indian treasure trove of recipes in this festival. Staff at The Lalit merit a special mention for their exquisite service ethics and personalized attention to every guest. The regular buffet which includes some amazing salads (such as watermelon with marinated cheese,a must have!), main course (the regular continental,Indian and oriental spread), pizzas, pastas and desserts ranging from pastries to ice creams is also something every foodie has to keep on top of their must check-out list. This is one of those rare places where every facet of a meal has been taken care of with perfection, be it the recipe, the service, the ambiance or even the value for money quotient. Mucho mucho recommended and I hope my pictures do justice to the same!
