Cheesy Indulgence At Pizza Box Vile Parle Mumbai : Food Review & Photography


When we are in mood for cheese, we go for pizzas. And frankly, when are we not ever in mood for cheese? Pizza Box is one of those perfect places to take care of all our cheesy cravings. The pizzas here are loaded with toppings and cheese, with typical Indian tadka thrown in, and the starters/sides are also super duper delicious, not to forget some refreshing beverages to gulp it all down with. We tried, loved and recommend-

Green Apple Mocktail,
Lemon Iced Tea - (special note-please keep beverages handy for some pizzas are really hot and you need these to douse the fire on your palate!)
Crostini = cream cheese + corn + just a hint of chillies = absolute party in mouth,
Paneer Strombili = Paneer Tikka stuffing with cheese baked in a bread = hearty meal for light eater,
Pull Apart Garlic Bread = Warm bread + Cheese + Garlic + Butter = loads of messy fun pulling it apart,
Hot Head Pizza = Jalapenos + Bell Peppers + Chillies + Hot Sauce = Dragon Fire in mouth, must-have for spice lovers,
BBQ Paneer & Mushroom Pizza = Juicy flavorful Paneer + Mushroom + Onions bringing in a sweetish tinge = Drooling just thinking about it!

Some places make me wish I had an extra stomach to try everything on the menu and Pizza Box is one of those places. Itching to come back soon and try other pizza variants along with their cheese crust, whole wheat crust, cone pizzas and so on. Cute, charming, small place with some best cheesy offerings in Mumbai, absolute value for money, 100% recommended :)

Already had a wonderful time at Peninsula restaurant at The Peninsula Grand Hotel in company of loved ones last month, so getting a chance to visit Opa Bar & Cafe for a review session with foodie friends was like a dream come true. Nothing matters when food and coffee here is excellent.  Yes, even though it is a bar and has superb drinks (I recommend Long Island Tea), coffee is unbelievably good. Ferrero Shake is also a must-have. Among food starters, Mushrooms on Toast, Bruschetta, Cottage Cheese Aglio Olio, Brie Fritters are very good. Mushrooms are creamy, Bruschetta is crispy refreshing, Cottage Cheese melt in mouth and Fritters so cheesy! In main course, Pasta in Pink Sauce was my favorite, not too heavy and full of flavor

TiME to enter the future is NOW, TiME TO 3D, and HOW! While anybody who knows me knows how invested I am in looking at the world through my camera lens, once in a while something happens to make me look away from my camera, and look with awe. Nope, I haven't turned into a poet. Just had a life-changing experience at TiME TO 3D , a collaboration between Imaginarium (India's Largest 3D Printing Company) and Time Media Group ,situated in the heart of college-going crowd at Vile Parle, Mumbai. This is India's first of its kind hub that allows everyone and anyone to enter the stunning world of 3D Printing. All of this sounds great in theory. But these people truly believe in the concept and so even in practice, it is pretty fab :) Walk in like I did, with no knowledge at all and walk out amazed. Beautiful spacious abode of excellent dishes from legendary Grand Trunk route, binge on some dishes not available elsewhere, each one of them has extremely authentic taste (I have spent my childhood eating authentic Bengali, Bihari, UP, Punjabi food, so this was a beloved homecoming sort of feast)! Ambiance is elegant, the open kitchen rightly occupies center-stage, staff is polite and good at suggesting appropriate dishes as per one's tastebuds, service is fast and menu is vaaaaaaast with more than enough choices for both vegetarians as well as non-vegetarians. Each dish is succinctly explained in the menu and ingredients used are clearly top-notch.
