Solitaire Kohinoor Continental : Flavors of Maharashtra Food Festival Review & Photography

Image
Honored to be a part of Maharashtrian Food Festival at Solitaire, everything here is near perfect, right from the very warm staff with perfect balance of hospitality as well as sense to give privacy to diners when needed, exceptional service, delicious food with authentic flavors, ethnic Indian ambiance replete with classic Maharashtrian music and very pocket friendly too when looked at all parameters :) The buffet is not overwhelming with options, rather choicest of starters, main course and desserts-which is still more than a person can reasonably eat at one time. We found every single dish taste just like it does in our Maharashtrian friends' homes, with lovely spicy-tangy-sweet-sour flavors, distinct use of spices, grated coconut, local vegetables and so on. Recommend everything on offer and especially- Sol Kadhi Puneri Misal Pav Adu wadi Jhunka Bhakar Poha Chivda Shankar Padi Assorted Pickles Bharwan Mirchi Matar K...

Bunts Food Festival Saptami Holiday Inn Mumbai : Luxurious Buffet Review and Recommendation

Image
It was a pleasure being here for their Bunts Food Festival. I have tasted Mangalorean food at some of my friends' homes in past so was well versed with their use of coconut, tamarind and home made spices in some delicious dishes and the festival here is very authentic, loved it, quite value for money too. Definitely recommend their spicy Kuduta Rasam, Moong Dal Kosambari salad, Curd Rice, deep-fried Vada and Pakodas, Mint Yogurt, Mix Vegetable Korma, Beetroot Poriyal, Idlis, Neer Dosa, along with Chaats, Veg Pulao, Paneer Lababdar, Pasta, Noodles, Kung Pao Vegetables, Thai Yellow Curry, and regular buffet salads, appetizers, Indian breads on request, everything quite delicious, In dessert section also, along with regular gulab jamun, cut fruits, pastries, brownies, a special word for their Rose flavor ice cream and spread of authentic Mangalorean desserts-from Mysore Pak, Halwa, Laddoo, Kesar Pak to lip smacking Payasam. Service excellent, staff well trained ...

Pondicherry Cafe At Sofitel : Thai Food Festival Review & Recommendation

Image
This is my second visit to Sofitel and I am left as equally impressed as I was on my first visit 2 years ago to Jyran :) Absolutely gorgeous ambiance, the staff from the entrance itself are extremely warm and attentive, very elegant and calm property. Pondicherry Cafe is plush and luxurious in every sense, the pictures speak for themselves and the buffet here has something for everyone. It is also quite authentic, nothing has been overwhelmingly Indian-ized nor underwhelming-ly blandly presented. Love the way they have decorated the place with the theme of THAI Food Festival with special masks, mini umbrellas, flowers, exotic fruits, mini elephant statues and so on. I definitely recommend this festival as worth attending. We tried something from every counter and really liked it all. Indian dishes of Paneer Masala, Karela, Veg Pulao, Yams, Dal Tadka, Raita, Tulsi Paneer Tikka were really great as was the Veg pizza and Grilled Veggies from Continental Section. Veg Dimsu...
